Time to take that tree down! This is our FIRST 'live' tree. What a disaster...I mean I love the tree. It reminds me of the ones we use to have in Poland. It allows me to hang my GIANT heirloom ornaments. Some even hung on my mom's tree when she was little. I'm talking old school here... OK, back to the disaster part. First the base breaks and causes a flood under the tree skirt that no one notices for a few days, which in turn...well lets' just say the wood floors did not like to be watered. Then, we're all sitting in the family room, all of a sudded...BOOM...the tree FELL! My ornaments!!!!!!!! Kids, crying. What a mess... Luckly only a handful broke (note to self: practice non-attachment) Glad to see that thing go... I'm not promising anything, but perhaps a FAKE tree next year... We'll see.
